Had no luck last week at the colorado river. Me and a couple buddies want to go fishing at lake mead soon cause we heard you can catch more there. Also we will make a night of it and camp overnight. Was looking for a good spot thats fairly secluded but easy access to where i can drive up to the site or water. What are the laws on camp fires and stuff like that, dont want to get in any trouble. I saw a spot on google that might be good. Any pointers will help! Thanks!

Kingman wash on the arizona side just past the dam is a little off the beaten path. Camping is doable. Only people that usually show up to that wash are usually scuba divers that do training at that spot. I've seen a number of large stripers while diving that area. Theres plenty of shore to fish from where you and the divers wouldnt bother each other.

It's the first left you can take after the dam and easy to spot because it goes under part of the new freeway, it's immediately a dirt road. If you look at the end point (kingman wash) on the map you can backtrack it ez to where it meets the freeway.

There are a couple porta type pottys at the site where the "A" marker is on the map. Camping/parking would be a lil further down the road were it loops by the lake.

Clean?!?!? It's lake mead.

Actually little to no trash on site the last time I was there. Just watch out for the areas around anything that looks like a fire pit. People have burned pallets and could be nails hiding.
