Since I'm such a little bitch for Google, might as well start a thread just for that.
I was talking with George about this at our last meeting so I'll start with sites.google.com.
He was having some issues with hosting his personal website at some Apple crap site so I suggested he try Google.
They will host your website for free (of course) - up to 100mb for storage. It integrates nicely with all the other google services like form submissions get stored in your google docs spreadsheets. There's lots of widgets to make your site dynamic - even a secure shopping cart, FOR FREE!
To see what kind of things you can do, you can check out my family website at
http://www.toshfamily.info/Also mentioned was SketchUp - a 3d modeling software (by google, for free). They have a campaign to document every building in the world for use in google earth (and ???). There are support groups and challenges to help build incentives to get people to submit their models. Fun stuff!
